Once upon a time,
there was a girl with big artistic dreams. At just eight years old, Alma began cutting and crafting paper dolls, selling them to her classmates with a spark of entrepreneurial spirit. What started as a playful hobby quickly grew into a lifelong passion for creativity.
Growing up in a large family with limited resources, Alma learnt to be resourceful, imaginative, and resilient — qualities that would later shape her path as an artist. Her early experiences taught her how to find beauty in simplicity and possibility in every scrap of paper.
Today, Alma is the founder of Paperdoll Art Studio, based at Wimbledon Art Studios, where she owns and runs three working studios while managing a talented team of professional artists. Through her workshops, she shares that same joy of creating with others — offering relaxed, welcoming sessions that encourage artistic confidence and connection.
She was recently featured in London Life Magazine and remains an active figure in the UK art community, regularly participating in major art fairs across the country. You may have even spotted her work on large posters displayed across London’s Underground stations.
And the best part? What began with paper dolls has grown into a full creative company — Paperdoll Art Studio — a place where art, community, and creativity come together.
