TEXTURED ABSTRACT ART WORKSHOP - taster session
“Learn how to make an abstract, textured piece of art to hang with pride on your wall.”
Would you like to express yourself in the power of art without concentrating on a subject matter but focusing more on freedom of expression? Then this art workshop is for you. Under the guidance of an experienced artist, you'll learn how to make an abstract, textured piece of art to hang with pride on your wall.
This is a shorter version of my intensive texture art workshop. After your booking, you will receive a selection of projects as your reference to choose from. Since some materials don't dry in a day, the main textures will be pre-dried. Feel free to bring any textures you want to use in your composition. You can add shells, threads, barks, stones, inks etc to make your piece more interesting.
How long is the class? 3hrs
**During the class, you'll learn:**
• How to create textures on a canvas.
• Create pleasing composition to attract more attention.
• Art medium discussion - learn types of textures and paint medium.
• Colour hunt - Choosing your correct colour palette.
• Blending - find out the best materials to use for successful colour blending.
• Discover unique materials that can amplify seduction of interest.
• Creating a focal point. Layering.
• Pouring techniques.
• How to use gold foil and inks.
• Finishing touch.
• Sealing & drying time.
Please note:
Finish artwork requires at least five days to dry. The painting will be sent to you via post after a week at extra cost or you're welcome to pick it up yourself.

What you'll get:
All the materials and tools, including a 40 x 40cm canvas create a piece of abstract texture art to take home with you. (Frames are available to purchase on the day.)
Refreshments:
Unlimited tea & coffee. Biscuits, fruits& red wine are served ( feel free to bring your treats and drinks).
What to bring
Lunch (There are loads of nice cafes to choose from at Earlsfield station, that's a 10mins walk from the studio. Tesco is a 5mins walk if you want to grab an easy lunch or bring your own lunch and have it at the studio)

Note:
The session will start EXACTLY on time. Please allow enough time to get to the studio at least 10 minutes ahead of time. I will be waiting at the main door of the YELLOW STUDIO Studio 136 during this time. My studio is on the 1st floor, and it can only be accessed with a code. Once the class has started, I won't be able to fetch you downstairs, as it would be unfair to leave the others for anyone arriving late. I will not be able to respond to texts and emails when the class started.
Please note: No refund or rescheduling will be issued for latecomers due to processing fees.
T&C:
A full refund can only be given within 14 days from the initial date of booking. You can reschedule your class provided I am given at least 7 days' notice before your class date. Unfortunately, I am unable to change any bookings if less than 7 days notice is given.
